The most immediate commercial application of graphene is probably as a replacement for a material most people have not heard of, called Indium Tin Oxide (ITO). ITO is used as a transparent conductive electrode in everyone's LCD displays. But there's a problem with it. Indium is a very rare heavy metal and it's price has skyrocketed due to high demand. It needs to be replaced, and graphene is one of the most viable contenders.
