When you come back from a very rare health issue -- in the case of this pro hockey player, a stroke at age 26 -- it can be hard to explain what's going through your mind. Letang mentions one recurring thought: the odds are no longer coming up in your favor all the time.

And yet he doesn't quit. He's playing harder than ever. It's what he wants to do.
