Genetic roots of resilience?

What if a simple saliva test could tell us which children would benefit most and least from early intervention programs like Head Start or from the highest-quality foster care? Would it be cost-effective and ethical to give more resources to those who would benefit the most? Or would it be inequitable on its face?
That's a question with no easy answer.
Genetic predisposition is not destiny; it's just greater probability.
The notion that some people are more genetically resilient than others is thought provoking.
