Phantom Limbs - Radiolab - Theory of Emotion

Fascinating Radiolab piece on how emotions are based on the perceptions of our body, and not our conscious awareness. Our bodies become aware of something (for example, a bear attacking) and makes changes (heart pumping, sweating, etc.), and it's when we consciously become aware of the changes in our body that we experience the emotion of fear. Very cool info on the emotions of people who are paralyzed.
