The 691 Horsepower Tesla Model S P85D Does 0-60 In 3.2 Seconds
Gregory Alan Bolcer stashed this in Cars I'll Never Afford
Stashed in: Cars!, Auto Erotica, Tesla, Tesla!
And you say you'll never be able to afford this one?
$120k? Kids gotta eat, wife's gotta shop. I think my car wants are somewhere way down the list!
So what's the max you think you'll ever spend on a car in your lifetime?
My old Volvo XC90 lease was $800/month. I did the edmunds car calculator and it looks like at most half a testa 85D.Â
Hmm, they should be coming out with a Tesla in that price range in the next few years.
Yes, but even though the price is right, the car is not. There's nothing more disappointing that only being able to afford a discount/half a supercar.  Go big or go home, I always say. ;-) Though I supposed if Google or Microsoft were to buy my company, a Tesla is a fairly safe and understated choice.
I saw the video. Tesla can do that as the torque in the car doesn't have the same mechanical lag as non-electric, so they basically have a straight torque curve all the way up versus traditional ones which are fairly curvy and elastic.
So it's like being on a roller coaster?
I get your point about not wanting half a supercar. Let's hope for Google or Microsoft.Â
Not sure about the roller coaster. I had a 1985 Honda VF1000R that did 0-100 in about 5 seconds. It was spectacularly fun.Â
It's fun once you get used to the sensation of your heart jumping out of your chest.
