Caitlyn Jenner: Syrian rebels show their support and want to change town name to be ''free'' like her
Janill Gilbert stashed this in War, Huh, Good God
The 65-year-old star was praised by activists from the town of Kafranbel, who vowed to change the name of their town to Cafranbel if they could be "liberated"
Caitlyn Jenner has had plenty of support since her Vanity Fair magazine cover.
But who was expected a group of Syrian rebels to give her a shout-out?
A picture has emerged online of a group of activists holding up a banner praising Caitlyn, who was formerly known as Bruce.
Stashed in: Kardashian, Middle East, LGBTQ
How is the name Cafranbel related to Caitlyn?
Yes, they are saying they will change their spelling once free ;)
Ah, got it. Cool!
"On the banner the rebels praise Caitlyn for opting to spell her name with a 'C' rather than following the Kardashian klan and going for a 'K'.
And the activists from the town of Kafranbel admit they would change the name of their own town if they could be "free" like the star.
The banner reads: "We would write Kafranbel with a C, if it meant like you, we would be free.
"Maybe liberated Cafranbel"
I wondered if the Kardashians considered the C to be an insult to them.
You can't spell emancipation without a c.
Nor compassion.
