It's a really thought-provoking question, actually.

NOT GOOD.

I don't mind being followed around on the Internet by an advertising bot that keeps reminding me that I checked out lime green capris on Gap last week. But I don't know how other people feel about being regularly reminded about their past clicks.

Why did Facebook choose to make their users be the product?

A subscription-based business model like Amazon Prime -- or a transaction-based model like Apple -- seems much more respectful of the users.
