One more look at "culture fit" culture: "Whether or not I "like" someone isn't always an important part of the equation. There are all types of personalities out there and many will not jibe with mine.

Sure, "culture fit" is important and different companies I've worked for valued it more than others. Still, I think it takes a mature individual to separate personal feelings from a candidate's overall qualification for the job. For me the bar is not if someone rubs me the wrong way, but rather if I think they'll rub EVERYONE else the wrong way."

In building a team of people who can work well together, attitude matters a lot.

It does take a mature person to separate personal feelings from qualifications.
