I thought the same thing about Rickon should weave, but I don't think it would have mattered in the end. I wonder if this battle is in the books, and what people who've read it think of how it was portrayed?
The battle is in the book that has not been written yet so we don't know.
And yeah, given the battle that was about to take place, Rickon wasn't likely to survive either way.
I actually enjoyed the Daenerys scenes a lot more.
