Work Smarter Not Harder: 17 Great Tips
Eric Barker stashed this in Work
Establish an opening ritual.
Try to begin your day the same way. If you work at home, maybe take a short walk before you go to your office. Have a cup of tea or read or meditate before starting your work. An opening ritual will ease your mind, body and soul into the day. (More here.)
Establish a closing ritual.
Know when to stop working. Try to end each work day the same way, too. Straighten up your desk. Back up your computer. Make a list of what you need to do tomorrow. (More here.)
Get used to the three “-ty’s.”
Ambiguity. Uncertainty. Volatility… Projects collapse. Money evaporates. Customers go wiggy. Get over it. That’s the way it works.
Good list filled with reminders. Trying to make this type of efficiency the theme of this year. Thanks, Eric... I often feel like you read all the books I should read and have on "the list" and then smack me over the head with the best parts. There oughta be an award or stipend for that.
Exactly what Dawn said. I too am very grateful. :)
Your attention is all the award he needs.

I always try to read his newsletter before my second cup of coffee. Earlier if I'm procrastinating about work and he hasn't written about procrastination that day;)
Dawn, that's awesome.
