The Real Reason Why Sleep Deprivation Can Destroy You

I don't think anyone I know gets "enough" sleep!

Getting enough sleep, not working too much, getting daily exercise, not harboring negative thoughts, eating organic or grass fed foods. I think only folks born into wealth can afford to pull this off.

The rest of us have to keep trying.

A lot of the wealthy people I know don't manage to do these things, either.

It takes a lot of discipline to live this way.

Wouldn't it be nice if, someday in the future, we just accept that we are biological beings, and allow ourselves to nap and eat and have babies and resolve conflicts and just live? It seems our lives are a total inversion of nature. (Still fun and interesting and all that -- and I would not recommend a reversion a la Lord of the Flies -- it's just odd we ignore things like breakfast and sleep for office time.)  

When we don't have money, we blame not doing this on not having money.

When we do have money, we blame not doing this on not having time.

It takes a lot of discipline to not make excuses.
