Why should I even want to get more things done in the first place?  

Sounds like a crazed consumer ambition to me.  I've been and am much happier doing less ... 

Apparently, studies show the rest of life on earth would be happier (or at least fare better) too if we humans all slowed down our chewing through the environment by "getting things done".
