Unfortunately, Internet favorite Allison Stokke could not clear the starting height.

She's 23, so hopefully she'll keep practicing to make it in 2016.

The Olympics could benefit from more Cal Berkeley athletes.

Note that U.S. women's pole vaulter Jennifer Suhr did win the gold in the London 2012 Olympics. USA! USA!
