Snapchat Discussing New Content Service With Advertisers and Media Firms

Snapchat Inc., the mobile app that creates vanishing messages, could soon be a service for disappearing videos, news articles and advertisements.
The startup has held talks with advertisers and media companies in recent weeks about a service called Snapchat Discovery that would show content and ads to Snapchat users, according to people briefed on the discussions.
Snapchat Discovery is set to debut in November, one of the people said.
No USER wants ads that disappear. No user wants ads, period.
Proof that to Snapchat, the USER is the product.
Do not trust Snapchat with anything sensitive.
Do not trust Snapchat.
Is anything trustworthy anymore? #NSA #police #telcos #etc #etc
Snapchat goes out of its way to say that things on it disappear, though.
And that gives its users a false sense of security.
At least everyone knows the NSA, police, telcos, etc are watching everything we do online.
We should remember that being watched applies to Snapchat too.
And forget about disappearing things.
If you don't want people to know, don't put it online.
