Vaseline, chicken broth, and heated helmet stands are three of the most important ways players try to keep warm during brutal football playoff games. Extreme cold is not just uncomfortable, it's extra dangerous for guys who will be called upon to make violent exertions -- that's how you get muscle pulls and strains.
And they train/start the season in high heat coupled with humidity, making that weather extreme.
Marlene, yes they do.
Joyce, I'm guessing they apply the vaseline and eat the chicken broth, not the other way around?
I can use these tips to stay warm when it's cold even though I'm not a football player.
