584 - United Swing States of America: Presidential Election Battle Map | Strange Maps | Big Think
Jared Sperli stashed this in politics
Stashed in: Politics!, America!
Ohio SHOULD be the largest.
And then Florida and Pennsylvania.
I'm going to go sit quietly and have a beer.
I'd find the map strongest as a think piece if swing states were sized according to their electoral votes.
Me too. I wonder why the artist didn't do that.
Now how many of those states will have voter fraud AND voter ID laws...
Democracy, FTW!
Hey! I found a map with states sized by electoral votes:
http://www.colleyrankings.com/election2012/
It comes from a modeller who has a fully-described predictive model that's outperformed Nate Silver in recent elections (found via http://www2.macleans.ca/2012/11/04/tarnished-silver-assessing-the-new-king-of-stats/ ).
It's currently predicting Obama-291, Romney-234, TossUp-13 (Virginia).
Gordon, that's awesome! Thank you for sharing...
