They grow and butcher the beef themselves! And fry the potatoes in pasture-raised pork lard. Can't beat that.

WANT !!!!

uuuhhhhhh.... I haven't been there for awhile. MUST. RETURN. IMMEDIATELY.

It does look like an extraordinary burger.

I must go try it out.

In the meantime, closer to home my favorite burger in San Francisco is the burger at Causwells on Chesnut Street in Cow Hollow. They use 5-dot beef patties - 2 of them so they're both well caramelized - and "special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions – all on a sesame seed bun" - yep they've re-created the Big Mac with high quality ingredients. And it's really really good.

As you can see, they serve it with a mound of onion rings, but if they got their french fries right like at Cafe Zuni we'd be rocking.

While I am on my Fantasy Burger picks, the club at Wingtip in the FiDi does a Humphrey Slocombe Secret Breakfast and Bourbon milkshake which would cap the whole thing off.

But given that they're some distance apart, it'll have to remain a fantasy.

If only you could get Doordash to deliver burger, fries, and shake to you at the same time.

Fries that would come from the sweaty glove box of a door dash driver might not be the hot crispy experience I was hoping for...

But if I could get Doordash to deliver the Causewell's burger to Zuni then that might solve that problem. But will Doordash pick up that burger as soon as it's off the grill and get it over the other side of town fast enough? I'd drop the Humphrey Slocombe ice cream to the bar at Zuni and they'd be able to make the milkshake. The componentized Dinner-as-a-Service infrastructure is probably not ready for all this yet.

In conclusion, I am going to head up to Marin Sun Farms at the next opportunity.

Lol, I think you're doing all right. I do like the phrase "Dinner as a Service". :)
