From Kim-Mai Cutler's article, the numbers tell the tale of three iPhone camera apps:
Instagram has 27 million users and no revenue. Blah blah blah ad model.
Camera+ has 10 million users who each paid $1 apiece.
Smugmug has 4 million users, many of whom have spent $10 for filters.
Who wins? Everyone!
Crazy how many awesome photo apps are out there...
I know, right? Goes to show you that a big market can sustain many companies.
At the very same time, Kodak is slowly going bankrupt.
Oh, cruel irony.
