Visualize your wonderful day ahead. -- I try to think of the 3 most critical things I need to do.
Take it a little further with some bed-friendly yoga.
Mentally list three things for which you're grateful.
Practice a bit of meditation.
Journal, why don't you? -- I do this!
Wake up to your favorite song.
should also add, take a shower where new ideas are born!
I agree that without showers there would be many fewer new ideas.
And many fewer hookups.
